I am an avid home chef with a passion for great food, outstanding vino, and enjoying it all with the people I love. I come from a family of foodies and wine lovers that have impacted me greatly throughout my life.
My paternal grandfather started as a butcher in the Bronx, NY and eventually had his own shop in my hometown, Pine Bush, NY, where my father learned the trade. My maternal grandmother was a wonderful cook who taught me the traditions of Italian cooking and pasta making from the "old country". She also handed the love down to my mother and her two brothers, all three of whom have been driving forces behind my learning over the years. And finally, my wife's grandfather, "Pops", is an extremely accomplished chef who has taught me countless lessons.
It is a combination of all of those influences that has resulted in who I am today. So I hope you enjoy reading my blog as I bring you my thoughts and opinions on food, wine, restaurants, and recipes. Buon appetito!
